  1. The memorial service was both uplifting and touching. It was a fine tribute to Harish.

    I met Harish at the New Providence Writer’s Group, which met in Summit. He always had a joyful and optimistic outlook when I talked to him.

    Harish brought many passages of Metaphors of Healing to the meeting to be critiqued. His prose was both simple and elegant. I always enjoyed hearing him read it, and looked forward to each new piece he brought in.

    Another thing I remember fondly is that he would always mark not just the parts of a piece of writing or story that needed work, but also the parts that he liked. He was always generous with his praise, and made me feel valued. It sounds like a small thing, but it wasn’t.

    I will miss him dearly.
